Parent Involvement for Success
You want your child to be successful in learning to play the piano.
That is why you have made the choice to give the gift of piano learning. As your child's "life coach", here are some things
that you can do to help that happen.
Make piano lessons and practice times a priority.
You communicate the value you place on piano learning by being in attendance at lessons, being on time, and being available
during practice times.
Be actively involved in your child's coaching session.
As the parent of a Simply Music student, you have the unique opportunity to learn alongside your child at no
extra cost. Parents who take this extra step are in the position to be of the most support to their child. Whether or
not you are interested in learning the songs yourself, being attentive during the lesson communicates your support
and allows you to be knowledgeable in coaching your child at home. If additional help is needed, your teacher is only as far
away as a phone call.
Your coaching at home is very valuable. Let's work as a team and
